Meet Our Founder

 Dave Gee is the Founder and CEO of Startup Guides, a firm dedicated to helping entrepreneurs launch and grow successful businesses. With an extensive background in both academia and the startup world, 

Dave brings a wealth of experience to the table. He has been an MBA faculty member at the University of Wisconsin an entrepreneurship faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an entrepreneurship faculty member at Marquette University.

In addition to founding Startup Guides, Dave co-founded Joy Research, an AI-driven behavioral health software company, where he served as investor, CEO, and Board President. He also co-founded Classmunity, a crowdfunding platform for school districts, where he held the role of co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. Earlier in his career, Dave founded his first company, Sales Sherpas, an advertising agency dedicated to helping small telecom and technology firms scale, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer. Additionally, Dave has held key marketing and business development roles at major Fortune 500 companies, including Humana, BellSouth, Motorola, and TDS.

Dave is also an accomplished author, with several Amazon Best Sellers to his name, including The Corporate Refugee Startup Guide, Restart: The Small Business Guide to Thriving During Chaos, The College Student Startup Guide, and The High School Entrepreneurship Guide. He holds an MBA from Marquette University and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. With his diverse background in entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and academia, Dave is uniquely positioned as a trusted mentor and advisor to startups at every stage of growth.
