Based on our commitment to safety (due to COVID) we have tentatively put the Lake Geneva Angels Startup Accelerator Program Summer 2021 Pilot on Hold.
Escape the 9-5 grind, refine your startup idea, work with world class start-up trainers, and meet with prospective investors in a spectacular venue. We help startup founders take pre-revenue, pre-investment startup ideas and help turn them into highly scalable startups.
The Lake Geneva Angels Startup Accelerator is a seven weekend cohort-based startup accelerator program based in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The program was built for those wishing to leave corporate and launch their own successful startup, without having to immediately give up their primary source of income.
How Does The Lake Geneva Angels Startup Accelerator Work?
Startup founders meet with their team members and cohort members in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for seven weekends during the summer.
Each weekend a critical business model area is covered and fleshed out with and by a subject matter expert, such as CEOs, CTOs, CMOs, and COOs ranging in backgrounds from successful startups, IP attorneys and startup strategists.
The first six weekends you will spend refining your business processes using world-class startup business modeling. During that time you will receive training and mentoring from experts in six key areas
After refining and implementing your processes, the 7th and final weekend is all about Demo Day and focused on networking and pitching your startup to investors to gain the capital you need to launch.
Why the Lake Geneva Angels Accelerator is unique
The environment we have chosen to create is as unique and perfect for the corporate refugee. We wanted a place where new startup founders could focus solely and intensely on their business. We also want a place where startup founders could relax and enjoy themselves after a long day. We chose the scenic Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
What A Normal Lake Geneva Angels Accelerator Weekend Looks Like
Friday: You arrive in Lake Geneva late in the afternoon. After arriving, you will meet with the other startup founders in the cohort, have dinner and provide an update on the progress of your startup.
Saturday: You will spend the morning learning from subject matter experts in rapid-fire sessions. In the afternoons you will regroup with your team and apply the material and content to your startup.
Your late afternoons and evenings can then be enjoyed in Lake Geneva sampling everything it has to offer, for example, it's unparalleled golfing, boating, hiking, biking experiences.
Sunday: Mornings are spent working directly with teams and selected mentors, continuing to hash out and improve your startup business model with the subject of the weekend in mind.
Sunday early afternoons can be spent golfing, on the lake or any local activity you and your team and/or cohort desires.
Demo Day occurs on the last Saturday morning of the cohort. It is when the startup founders are able to showcase all their hard work, and pitch prospective investors.
After all the pitches, investors are able to meet with the startup founders one-on-one and spend the afternoon either on-site, at the resort, golfing, or boating.
During this time investors can get to know the founders, and teams, behind the start-ups, and provide guidance to each one, regardless of whether they decide to invest or not.
This is the time an investor decides to move forward in investing in a start-up(s) of their choice.
